Sigh, just when I though I knew what Java web frameworks were out there, a few more appears. This time it is RSF (Reasonable Server Faces) and Click. What made me follow the path to finding these frameworks were a blog entry to which Matt Raible in his turn decided to respond in his blog.
His prediction is that "Struts Action 2 will be the best choice for developing Java-based web frameworks. Not only does it support JSF, but it's easy to learn, test and use. Furthermore, it seems to be the most often used framework in major software products and web sites." He has a tremendous influence on the Java scene, so it will be fun to see what happens. What remains to be done for me is to figure out if Struts Action 2 supports plain HTML templates and components.
